The purpose of this document is to provide interested parties with information to enable them to prepare and submit a proposal for the implementation of an 18-county IP-Based Next Generation 9-1-1 communication system in southern Illinois. CSI originally received and opened bids in December of 2009. Grant applications for this project were denied as we were preparing to select a vendor forcing us to reduce the scope of the project to match the available funding. The association intends to use the results of this process to award a contract for goods and services specified within this RFP.
